Our client, a dynamic company that is moving their offices to the Chicago Land area from an out of state location, is looking to hire a staff accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a company that is getting ready to go public in the next 18 to 24 months.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
? Prepare journal entries, financial statements, account reconciliations and analysis
? Prepare variance explanations from budget and forecast
? Prepare forecasts of annual results
? Translate financial statements
? Consolidate school and corporate financial statements including preparation of consolidating and eliminating entries
? Reconcile intercompany accounts
? Analyze working capital and prepare analysis for management
? Prepare monthly board package including PowerPoint slides and Excel schedules
? Prepare schedules for annual audit and provide support, as needed
? Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual covenant reporting
? Various special projects for General Accounting Manager
Experience/Skills
? At least 3 years experience in financial reporting and accounting
? Extensive experience with Excel and PowerPoint
? Knowledge of accounting systems required; Navision or Great Plains experience a plus
? Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
? Outstanding attention to detail
? Navision/Jet reports experience is a plus
? Relationship builder, comfortable interacting with others
? Willingness to ?roll up your sleeves? to complete projects
? Ability to work in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment as well as more traditional school environments
