Mid-Continent Concrete Company Staff Accountant - I I. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required College degree in accounting 1-4 years of staff accountant experience Must be experience in complex bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, month end journal entries and allocations, manage fixed assets records. Computer knowledge and skills. Ability to use: Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft EXCEL, and other company programs. Proficient with ERP systems utilization. Experience with SAP a plus. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to communicate and interact in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to complete tasks timely with low supervision. II. Job Summary Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Prepare bank account reconciliations Prepare intercompany balance and transactions reconciliations Prepare general journal entries and cost allocations. Reconcile miscellaneous G/L accounts Exercise the control over the fixed assets management and compliance of corporate policies on CAPEX Assist in the preparation of annual budget information and requests Responsible for attending internal and external audits Assist in the annual physical inventories counts. Provide guidance on policies in procedures over inventories control Comply with performance management process Assist plant manager and other staff with information requests and analysis Assist tax department (or tax consultants) on Property Tax III. Other Requirements Travel time required. Approximately one week every other month.
