Staff Accountant - Boca Raton (Sports Management/Finance/Admin)

Primary responsibilities of this position include a full range of accounting duties to include, but not limited to:

Managing the accounts payable process including, tracking of purchase orders, invoices and cash disbursements; monthly credit card purchase reconciliations; preparation of journal entries; reconciliation of month and year-end reports; preparation of financial statements and balance sheet reconciliation. This position will also execute and perform annual projects to include budget preparation; certified audit process; procedural and process audits and other special projects as may be assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • 1-2 years accounting experience
  • Ability to adhere to Fiscal policies and procedures
  • Ability to adhere to GAAP
  • Must be detailed oriented with the ability to provide accurate and timely information
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
  • A strong sense of maturity and responsibility are required for this job
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent computer skills - must have strong proficiency in Excel
  • Must be highly confidential
  • Association experience is a definite plus
  • Will be required to represent the Association in key community events as assigned
  • Familiarity with non-profit accounting preferred


    Salary:

    $34,000 - $36,000
