Senior Staff Accountant - employee benefits and stock-based compensation plans
. Preparation of monthly journal entries, adjustments and accruals. . Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and explain monthly fluctuations. . Prepare fluctuation analysis of monthly operating results. . Prepare additional account analyses as requested by management. . Monitors, reconciles, analyzes and synthesizes financial data from business operations. . Support business operations in their understanding of allocated costs. . Prepare quarterly disclosures for SEC Reporting . Prepare EPS calculation . Assist with Audit requests from both internal and external audit teams . Individual is responsible to adhere to First American Corporation's and department's compliance and information security policies, practices, and procedures, including the handling of systems and data, in the performance of the role Job Qualifications Requires 2 to 3 years experience in public accounting, must have BS/BA in Accounting, CPA or CPA eligible, and a firm grasp of GAAP. Knowledge of pension and stock-based compensation a plus. Strong PC skills including MS Excel and Word. Experience with Oracle a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
