Role:
The Senior Sourcing Analyst's primary duties will be to source and manage as assigned, various commodity categories, negotiate business and legal terms with vendors and manage the relationship between TD AMERITRADE and the vendor. This individual will deliver superior, differential value by leveraging the capabilities of the various supply markets - achieving sustainable ongoing cost reductions. This work will require the Senior Sourcing Analyst to work cross-functionally with TD AMERITRADE's administrative, financial, marketing, procurement, and legal communities to execute complex projects related to the sourcing and procurement of various spend categories.

Responsibilities:

* Define TD Ameritrade's current future commodity category requirements

* Maintain a current understanding of the trends in the various product and service supply markets in general and specifically within TD Ameritrade's competitive market and forecasting the impacts of trends upon the Firm's operations

* Formulate strategic sourcing options, model/analyze each option and recommend the option that will secure differential value from the supply market for each of the product and service categories

* Prepare cross-functional teams in negotiating appropriate agreements with suppliers as well as supporting legal in finalizing and executing contracts; including defining and executing appropriate sourcing tactics in negotiating agreements with respective suppliers

* Perform cost/value analysis of vendor's products and services; and development of materials to communicate comparative results to cross-functional sourcing team

* Lead the cross-functional team in measuring and managing the ongoing performance of selected suppliers and their respective supply markets

* Ensure expenditure and performance histories as well as status and projections are maintained and appropriately reported

* Maintain strong, trusting, consultative relationships with clients

* Develop materials in support of executive and other stakeholder communications

* Lead the effort to develop TD Ameritrade's sourcing and procurement policies and procedures and communication of the sourcing and procurement department's contribution to the organization at large

* Manage and conduct contractual negotiations; Interact directly with vendors during contract negotiations with little supervision

* Through contractual negotiations, ensure TD Ameritrade's risk management process is being adhered to (Security Risk Management, Insurance requirements, Compliance, Audit and other requirements); after a reasonable attempt to correct, escalate to management if processes are not being followed

* Drive the use and adoption of the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement's technology platform including use of the eSourcing, eContracts and eProcurement tools and establish best practices for use of the technology tools

* Effective utilization of Strategic Sourcing Group (SSG) procedures as documented in SSG process folders and on SSG Athena homepage; input as appropriate into procedure development and evolution as appropriate and requested

* Ensure SSG customers understand and use/adhere to SSG and TD Ameritrade's procurement policies and procedures; escalate to management if policies and/or procedures are not being followed

* Meet or exceed customer expectations for service, creativity, graciousness and speed

Requirements:

* Requires an academic background equivalent to a Bachelors' degree in Procurement, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering or Computer Science; MBA preferred

* Requires 2 to 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, change management, business process reengineering or strategic planning with a consulting firm or a Fortune 100 corporation

* MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint are essential Demonstrated success developing and leading high performance cross-functional teams that deliver quantifiable results

* An established track record and proven leadership in developing and implementing business strategies or in-depth knowledge of various commodity product and service supply markets including knowledge of key suppliers, market drivers, cost drivers, pricing structures, industry

* Superior communication and negotiation skills

* Experience managing large complex projects

* Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities

* Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

* Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects

* Reasonable understanding of legal terminology, Ameritrade company risk tolerances and the ability to synthesize this knowledge into a final contractual document. Will consult regularly with experts in these areas
