Sr. Payroll Specialist
SNI/ Accounting Now has partnered with a dynamic energy client in their search for a Payroll Accountant to assist with processing weekly multi-state payroll for 1000+ employees. Outstanding compensation, bonus plan and benefits package will be offered to the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities include: auditing timesheets, preparing payroll journal entries, general ledger analysis and reporting, reporting to federal, state and local government agencies, payroll tax deposits, union reporting, providing reports, entering and reviewing for accuracy employee wage and deduction information in HRIS database, assisting lead payroll accountants and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Successful candidates should have an Accounting degree, CPP or equivalent experience and a minimum of three years managing in house multi-state payroll. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and discretion are a must. UltiPro and JDE proficiency strongly preferred but like ERP experience will be considered.
