Responsibilities
The Strategic Business Analysis group is charged with providing decision support analysis and strategic transaction support to the CEO, CFO and ELT. The work of our group is largely project-oriented and affords the opportunity to work with various senior business and finance leaders across the Company.
This position will:
Play a role in strategic transactions (mergers, acquisitions, divestitures) across Amerprise, including initial assessment, valuation, due diligence and project management. Participate in financial aspects of strategic planning, including the annual long-range plan, by partnering with one of the Company's business units. Provide strategic decision support analysis for actions or potential actions affecting the Company's long-term cash flows, return on equity and/or GAAP P&L results (e.g., accounting changes, regulatory changes, significant shifts in product mix, strategic shifts)
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in financial and/or analytical roles Undergraduate degree in a financial or quantitative discipline. Strong communication, influencing and presentation skills. Good understanding of the profitability dynamics of one or more of AMP's segments Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Solid understanding of AMP's organization preferred Project management skills and related experience preferred
