Position Description
Maintains one or more general ledger accounting systems for Physio-Control functional departments in Redmond.
Position Responsibilities
1. Prepares balance sheet statements, profit and loss statements, consolidated statements and other accounting statements and reports according to monthly close schedule. 2. Compiles and analyzes financial information to make general ledger entries, review accuracy of journal entries and prepare account reconciliations. 3. Analyzes and maintains Fixed Assets, Construction in Progress and General and Administrative accounts to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis; reports on variances in these accounts. 4. Manages and completes cost center maintenance, month-end standard and recurring entries, allocations, etc. 5. Provides local expertise and support to other finance team members. 6. Assists with the annual planning process. 7. Assists with financial, tax and SOX audits 8. Administers expense express support for cost center approval structure. 9. Provides support for day-to-day requests to the financial group for both internal and external requests. 10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
B.A. or BS, preferably in Business with an accounting emphasis Strong understanding of accounting theory 6+ years' accounting experience
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
CPA designation preferred Extensive general ledger experience Experience in Fixed Assets and General and Administrative accounting Extensive user knowledge of SAP User of QAD, COGNOS BI and Hyperion GFS tools Computer skills should include Microsoft office and database query tool experience Ability to design and write G/L report Highly detail oriented and organized in work The ability to work well with all levels of employees, management, andb business partners to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
