Job Description
Primary Duties:
- Assist with coordination of the production, testing, reconciliation, and maintenance of the Travelers FACTS (PeopleSoft) integrated financial database (General Ledger, Accounts Payable,Fixed Assets and Travel and Expense). - Prepare updates for chartfield values and related administrative setup. - Provide support for configuration changes to other FACTS operational areas (GL operations, Expense Operations, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets and Travel and Expense). - Assist with security setup and maintenance - Assist with query execution and development - Assist with tree maintenance and combination edit configuration changes. - Provide customer service support and help desk coverage. - Develop specifications to enhance the system to support business requirements. - Preparation of documentation to meet 302 audit requirements. - Assist in FACTS system upgrade - Overtime is required monthly in order to assist in the consolidation of the Travelers Financial results.
Work Experience:
- Entry level requiring minimal work experience. - Basic accounting knowledge is necessary to prepare financial statements (e.g. Balance Sheet, Income Statements) and exhibits for management. - An understanding of Corporate and Underwriting systems, General Ledger, Hyperion Financial Management, PeopleSoft is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science, Accounting Major, Finance Major, or Related Experience.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access). - Strong Spreadsheet skills are required. Knowledge of pivot tables, functions, etc. is a plus. Knowledge of Access is a plus. - PeopleSoft experience a plus.
Other:
- Strong analytical ability needed to understand and resolve complex issues. - Ongoing opportunities to work on a variety of integration efforts and projects. - Able to work independently and in a team environment. - Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. - Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities to meet critical business needs.
