Sr Financial Analyst - Insurance/Product Area
Title: Sr Financial Analyst - Insurance/Product Area Location: NC-Charlotte Senior Financial Analyst Description
The incumbent will fill a leading role in various areas within Product Development and Management Finance. These areas include assignments in management reporting, regulatory reporting, financial analysis, financial modeling, and planning and forecasting. Incumbent must be flexible in work assignments to accommodate rotation of staff responsibilities and the ability to multi-task while providing high quality work.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Development of management financial reporting for senior and executive management. * Preparation of schedules, reports and analysis for regulatory reporting, annual reporting, tax reporting, audits and board packages. * Perform necessary reviews and reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting. * Continually look for ways to improve our reporting processes. * Prepare presentations to include graphs, charts, schedules, and supporting write-ups to explain variances and growth trends. * Support the preparation and development of the annual, three-year, and strategic financial plans. * Design models/ templates and perform analysis to support project proposals and business assumptions. * Maintain policies, procedures and documentation with revisions as needed. * Perform other duties as assigned. * BS required - in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Advanced degree preferred - Master in Business Administration, Masters in Accounting or Finance. * CPA and/or CFA preferred. * 7 or more years of experience in the life insurance industry preferred (management reporting, analysis, planning and forecasting, accounting, etc.) * Strong knowledge and experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and financial systems. * Excellent written and verbal communications skills. * Demonstrated ability to work in team environment. * Strong problem solving and analytical ability. Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills. Ability to balance multiple, diverse priorities while delivering quality product. * Working non-standard business hours as required. * Able to travel to various locations within TIAA-CREF footprint for training, work assignments, and special projects.
