Title: Sr Financial Analyst - Fin Bus Supp Location: NJ-Jersey City Specific Line of Business Job Description The business analyst will be responsible for providing key financial reporting support for the Managed Solutions Group. The individual will play a key role in the ongoing transition and support for metrics reporting and performance analysis of legacy BAC fee-based advisory programs as well as the expansion and enhancement of reporting capabilities for the combined businesses.
Much of the work in this area focuses on supporting and enhancing the business' decision-making process by developing, producing, and maintaining analyses that provide increased transparency into MSG's results. The person in this role will have excellent opportunities to deepen his or her knowledge of fee-based advisory programs and to understand the drivers of MSG's performance.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
. Preparation and analysis of weekly MSG financial reports on net new annuitized assets, AUM, revenue, advisor productivity, and other key metrics. . Development of asset and revenue forecasts and alternative planning scenarios in conjunction with ongoing planning process. . Working with business partners and technology to ensure continuity of data availability and accuracy during the transition of the NFS platform to MLPF&S. . Developing analyses on pricing, customer segmentation, and new product enhancements to determine their impact on overall MSG financial performance.

Required Skills * Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related business discipline * Three to five years of professional work experience (financial services or public accounting a plus) * Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, with emphasis on strong Excel (macros, pivot tables, look-ups, and filtering) and PowerPoint skills * Able to communicate concepts and ideas both verbally and in written form * Highly organized, detail oriented, and proactive * Can work independently when necessary, prioritizing tasks towards multiple objectives * Comfortable interacting with Business, Technology and Finance teams throughout the organization Desired Skills * An understanding of the issues relevant to the Global Wealth and Investment Management business and global financial services industry in general; maintains an up-to-date perspective and knowledge of the business; applies business knowledge to solve business problems and create new opportunities * General familiarity with, and a high interest level in, the fee-baed advisory suite of financial programs and the retail brokerage business
