Job Description
This position supports the BioLife Laboratory Testing Operations ($60M annual spend) along with US BioLife Center Development Operations ($20M-$45M in annual capital spend). This position will be critical during anticipated future expansion of the plasma center production network. In addition to preparing an Annual Operating Plan for the Lab Operations Group, this role is responsible for monthly capital spending reviews and ensuring spending is to plan.
This position will provide exposure to Operations / Quality Sr. Mgmt in BioLife during monthly reporting and planning cycles. This position will also provide exposure to the WLV BioScience Operations Finance team with Division Quarterly Capital Reviews.
Job Description
•Key P&L responsibilities: BioLife Laboratory testing facilities. Source and Recovered
•Key Balance sheet responsibilities: Property, Plant, and Equipment and some Inventory
•Prepare and provide monthly entries, account reconciliations, analysis and reports for key areas of responsibilities
•Evaluate monthly results in order to ensure accuracy, consistency and reasonability
•Prepare and analyze quarterly forecasts and yearly budget for key areas of responsibilities
•Act as the key finance contact for the US Biolife Laboratory Group and US BioLife Center Development Team
•Continuously track performance of Laboratory service contracts
•Recommend process improvement in all areas of responsibilities

•Strong technical and financial knowledge, including understanding of internal control requirements and accounting principles as well as understanding of relevant business environment.

•Strong PC/system skills (Excel, JDE USBax5, COGNOS, & C3Me)
•Strong analytical skills with familiarity with accounting, financial analysis and reporting.
•Detail oriented.
•Ability to manage tasks concurrently• Owns career and is accountable for managing own development. Key Finance Competencies:
•Financial Analysis and Decision Support
•Business Performance Management
•Accounting and Reporting Integrity Education and/or Experience
•Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA/MBA a plus.
•Minimum of 3 years of finance/accounting experience in a multinational company with emphasis in financial reporting, planning and analysis
