DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Financial Analyst will be the primary finance support for the Corporate, Government and Academic (CGA) financial planning and reporting process. This position is responsible for assisting in consolidations and related corporate reporting submissions. General finance support will also include ad-hoc reporting and analysis as well as various projects. This position will report to the CGA FP&A Finance Manager and is located in Eagan, MN.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Review of CGA BU monthly reporting submissions and related variance analysis and tie out to BEX and SAS FM * Collaborate with CGA finance business partners to deliver accurate and timely results, including succinct variance explanations * Establish and maintain strong business partnerships and cross-functional relationships to provide decision support. * Drive CGA consolidation and financial reporting and prepare monthly corporate reporting for CGA metrics and financial results * Support planning and expense management for CGA Executive functions such as G&A, Finance, HR and Strategy * Actively participate in the annual Plan, MYR and LE processes by providing guidance, support and analytics. * Initiate continual process improvement efforts that enhance timeliness and accuracy * Act as an expert resource on issues related to expense, planning cycles and system tools. * Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA preferred * 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling * Proven project management skills with the ability to handle a diverse workload with tight time frame requirements and competing resources * Proven experience in use and application of Excel and Powerpoint * Strong analytical and quantitative skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills. A proven ability to relate to all levels of management * Highly motivated with the ability to work on a team as well as independently and drive results * Comfortable in an environment with changing priorities, and competing demands for time * Finance and Financial Systems experience, including knowledge of SAP, SAS FM, Cognos, BEX * Ability to work extended hours as required
