Founded in 1980, The MENTOR Network is a national network of local human services providers offering an array of quality, community-based services in more than 30 states to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain and spinal cord injuries and other catastrophic injuries and illnesses, and to youth with emotional, behavioral and medically complex challenges as well as their families. Description The MENTOR Network is currently seeking a Sr. Director of Business Systems that will report to the CIO and have a team of 10-15 people. This individual will be responsible for the innovation, planning, execution and management of systems that support the operations and G&A functions of The MENTOR Network. This is a chance to be at the forefront of bringing enabling technologies to over 20,000 employees who care for the consumers of our Human Services and patients with neurological, brain and spinal cord injuries. This position acts as a valued advisor to the business on optimal leveraging of technology and must be able to develop an appropriate IT strategy in collaboration and alignment with the Operations and IT organizations. A successful candidate will have a strong process orientation, problem solving skills, and the ability to evolve a group from a ""run"" mode to an ""innovation"" driver. With strong communication skills with both business and technical audiences, this person should be able to demonstrate the ability to influence key decision makes and peers in a positive, constructive manner.
Essential Job Functions
Management of an existing billing system and the future yet-to-be-selected EHR system.
Identification, prioritization, and execution of projects both large and small
Demand management and business relationship management via IT Business Partners who are aligned to the different operating groups
Stewardship of the billing, operations and web technology platforms to be highly leveraged with efficiency, usability, and reliability
Collaborating with IT Infrastructure and Service teams to advance the needs of the Operating units
Selecting, coaching, and growing a team of IT business partners, project managers, business analysts, subject matter experts, and developers
Qualifications Requirements:
15 - 20 years of IT related experience including at least 5 years managing significant staffs
Demonstrated ability to coordinate, align and assign appropriate resources to IT activities with the business
Proven ability to manage technology development and support teams
Estimating, planning, and maintaining a budgets
Success at staff management including sourcing talent, motivation, performance management, skills development, and coaching professional resources
Success in getting results in a matrix environment
Program management of large multi-year projects a plus
Ability to negotiate contracts with vendors and vendor management to achieve desired deliverables
