Sr. Cost Accountant
Summary:
The Sr. Cost Accountant will provide Operations Finance support. The ideal candidate should be hands on, a self starter, able to develop cost accounting procedures, and improve operations analysis and management reporting.
Responsibilities:
Analyses and reporting of manufacturing and distribution activities such as volume, expense variances, freight, PPV, headcount and overtime
Inventory analysis, reconciliations, reporting and controls
Physical inventory participation
Product costing and maintain proper inventory valuations
Gross Margin analysis
Fixed Asset tracking, cost variances to budget and physical inventory process
Assist with month-end closing requirements related to cost accounting
Work with external auditors during quarterly reviews
Productivity project tracking and generation
Assist in documenting Operations procedures to include appropriate internal controls and process improvements
Sarbanes-Oxley involvement to include narrative updates, walkthroughs and testing
Budgeting and forecasting support

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel
