BASIC OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES:
M&T Bank is looking for a seasoned professional with a proven track record of assessing risk. The incumbent must also have the ability to identify operational and budgetary/financial concerns, share their findings with management, and make recommendations accordingly.
Our IT Auditors interact with Senior Management/Leadership, and have the opportunity to engage with different business lines regularly (Marketing, HR, Commercial, Consumer, etc.). Operating independently of each department offers flexibility, and a unique perspective of M&T Bank's operations.

Responsibilities would include:
Manage and Supervise the completion of internal examinations of different departments
Communicate findings/results to management and make recommendations accordingly
Partner with Senior Managers, Employees, Audit Staff, and Senior Leadership to determine proper operational procedures.
Review financial records, procedural documents, and business plans to ensure that information is in compliance with organizational methodology.
Work independently with different departments of the Bank
Work in conjunction with Financial Audit Team to conduct thorough evaluations
Opportunity to develop and mentor individual Audit Staff
Participation in special projects and brainstorming sessions
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree, with a concentration in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
At least 2 years relevant IT Audit professional work experience
Strong PC skills
Prior (at least 2 years)
Strong leadership and project management skills
Working knowledge of auditing standards and federal and state regulations
Strong analytical and negotiating skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel.
Willingness to travel on limited occasions.
Strong organizational and resource management skills
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA
At least 1 supervisory experience.
Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Bank Auditor certification or Certified Information Systems Auditor helpful.
Prior banking or bank auditing experience a plus
