Sr. Analyst, Financial Systems (Sports Management/Finance/Admin)
Responsible for supporting all financial systems, including Lawson Financials and SportsCast, the internal financial reporting portal, providing customer service, training and report development and publication. This is a senior analyst position, without supervisory responsibility, reporting to the Group Manager of Managerial Reporting and Financial Systems.
Primary Responsibilities
Support all of Lawson Financials, including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Asset Management, responding to end-user issues, training, identifying and correcting end-user and system problems, general maintenance and trouble-shooting, as well as supporting all features and functionality of Lawson Financials, including interfaces and database files and updates.
Main contact for all Lawson Purchase Order end-users (200+ users).
Responsible for setting up new Purchase Order users and working with users on training, issues and requests, and process improvements.
Master Lawson Financials security set-up to be able to assign and maintain end-user security.
Support SportsCast, working with end-users on security issues, and report and scorecard needs and creation.
Monitor SportsCast for performance and report updates; maintain SportsCast schedule for all published reporting.
Lead procurement, reporting and efficiency gain projects as assigned.
Assess the reporting needs and requests of end users and develop, test and publish new reporting.
Work directly with end-users to assess and implement system improvements and process efficiencies.
Assist in financial audits.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or general business.
5+ years experience with specialized knowledge in financial systems; strong IT/technical minded individual a must.
Knowledge of business process flow; the upstream and downstream flow of data through each department, ability to access all departments effected for any procedural change.
Experience with Crystal, Showcase or other query tools and reporting, data warehousing and data mining tools a must.
Experience with Lawson or other major ERP's a plus; knowledge of SQL, VBA, other programming languages necessary.
Project management experience.
Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision.
Ability to solve a variety of complex problems in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to create complex reports or summaries for which established formats generally do not exist.
Ability to interact with all levels of associates within the organization.
Ability to work to improve existing systems/procedures which periodically result in new ideas or approaches.
