To support the Assistant Controller in financial reporting for internal and external purposes. Internal and external financial reporting for all entities, including but not limited to, balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and various individual account analysis.
Promote team environment and meet departmental goals.
Communicate issues, status, and accomplishments to Assistant Controller regarding areas of responsibility in a timely manner.
Provide information to management to assist in decision-making.
Assist with monthly close through completion of financial statements.
Assist with timely review of balance sheet and income statement accounts, analysis, and adjustments.
Facilitate timely processing of all general ledger transactions and subsidiary ledger adjustments, including write off of bad debt at a customer file level.
Assist in implementing and monitoring policies and procedures necessary to support and provide accurate and timely reporting.
Communicate necessary information, policies, and procedures with Reconciliation Supervisor, other departments, and branch operations to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
Assist with audits, record retention, and assist with other special projects as assigned.

Requirements:
B.S. in Accounting Or other business related B.A./B.S. degree
Minimum two-three years relevant accounting experience. Excel skills at the beginner level required, intermediate level preferred. GAAP and SEC reporting experience highly desirable. CPA Big 4 experience if possible.
Solid understanding of accounting principles through intermediate level, excellent computer skills, excellent analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, excellent organization skills, ability to meet deadlines, ability to work with minimal supervision.
