Position Summary:

Production Control manages 300 suppliers delivering 7500 part numbers including the daily function of investigating, confirming, modifying and releasing the daily order plan based on the planned vehicle order sequence. (4 models).
To understand the operational abnormalities that affect their individual suppliers and parts.
Supplier management: Training and Development, that affect the individual suppliers and parts.
Supplier management: Training and Development, abnormality control, missed and mixed kanbans, supplier crisis recovery and parts.
Inventory management: Short parts, hot calls, overflow, scrap, part mis-use and cycle counts.
Education:

University Degree - , Engineering, ., or Math
College Diploma - Logistics and Materials Management

Experience:

Aptitude for working with numbers.
Highly motivated self-starter.
Excellent Computer skills (M.S. Office functions - Advanced Excel and/or Access).
Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills.
Proven problem identification and advanced problem solving skills in an abstract environment.
Strong organizational skills essential.
Ability to multi-task with various job assignments and change priorities quickly and efficiently.
Follow up skills are required to ensure timely completion.
Must be flexible to provide a wide range of support activities in a team environment.
Able and willing to bring new ideas to the job by utilizing current levels of information technology.
Past working or Co-Op experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
Able to support overtime. Occasional shift work will be required.
Infrequent travel may be required, potentially on short notice.
