SOX Auditor
The SOX Auditor is responsible for executing SOX audit fieldwork based on planned audit approach, and addressing the effectiveness of the key SOX controls. Create, maintain and revise internal control documentation. Create and execute audit procedures to determine the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies and procedures in meeting regulatory compliance. Prepare formal written reports to management summarizing audit results. Create accurate, logical and detailed work papers clearly describing the work performed, results of testing and conclusions reached. Coordinate with Corporate Audit management to leverage testing of SOX control completed during execution of the annual audit plan. Coordinate test schedule and procedures with the external auditor and the SOX project management group.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree
• CPA candidate
• Minimum of two years of relevant work experience, including public accounting experience
• Experience with SOX and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting
• Previous experience in documenting and evaluating financial controls
Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA highly preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including thorough work paper documentation techniques
• Ability to interact with all levels of management and staff
• Able to plan scheduled audit work and carry out work of a complex nature
• Able to function independently
• Experience with Thompson Reuters Paisley Enterprise GRC
• Experience with ACL
