Accounts Receivable Supervisor

Flanders is currently seeking an ACCOUTS RECEIVABLE SUPERVISOR.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The AR Supervisor is in performance partnership with the AR Manager to assist in meeting all department goals established by Flanders Corporation. This position is accountable for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of Flanders Corporation Accounts Receivable Department.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
* Responsible for supervising the performance of the Accounts Receivable Analyst Team, including managing difficult performance situations.
* May assist in writing and delivering performance review for Accounts Receivable Analysts in conjunction with the Accounts Receivable Manager.
* Provide updates and ongoing training for Accounts Receivable Analysts and/or new employees.
* Take escalated customer calls from the Accounts Receivable Team, assuring customer with a resolution of matter.
* Research and resolve accounts receivables issues with customers and analysts on a daily basis.
* Assist the team in the timely collections efforts of receivables and prepare defaulted accounts for assignment to private collection agencies, when necessary.
* Ensure AR invoices are paid as closed to the terms specified on customers? contracts.
* Monitor and provide weekly aging to AR Team and management.
* Run daily automated credit card processes and/or refund to Customers.
* Assist AR Manager in maintaining and updating policies, procedures, and work instructions within the Department.
* Review, approve and/or deny AR team requests for adjustments on customers? accounts.
* Revise and analyze D&B Trade Reports in order to set up/approve credit limit for new or existing customers.
* Assist AR Manager on conducting meetings with subordinates to ensure compliance with established practices, to implement new policies and keep employees abreast of current changes and standards.
* Participate on the review of job applications and resumes, conduct interviews, evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant?s qualifications.
* Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
* Associates Degree in business or accounting required; Bachelors degree preferred.
* 3+years of accounts receivable/collections experience; manufacturing production field is preferred.
* Prior supervisor experience preferred.
* Ability to multi-task.
* Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, accuracy, initiative, attention to detail, and analytical problem solving.
* Excellent computer skills, including a working knowledge of current accounting systems and proficiency with Excel and MS Office are required.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and private information.

DECISIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for resolving customer issues when escalated to the Supervisor level.
* Responsible for supervising the AR team and providing performance feedback and coaching when appropriate.
