BlackRock’s Sourcing and Vendor Management's goal is to leverage the firm’s spend centrally to obtain the lowest total cost with the highest value while managing risk. Our Process Improvement group partners with internal clients to effectively manage vendors and optimize total value for the firm. We identify savings opportunities & targets across each spend category, run efficient end-to-end programs across spend categories, and enhance firm wide controls, efficiency, spend analytics and expense reporting .
The priorities for the Process Improvement team include: · Pipeline management – Track projects and key milestones from initiation through contract across all categories · Contract Management – Centralize process, repositing and reporting for over 7,000 vendor contracts · Procure-to-pay process – Institutionalize P2P process (includes requisitioning, Purchase Order, Invoicing, payment etc)
Responsibilities · Providing technical expertise in designing, developing and enhancing a wide range of applications · Developing high-quality technical solutions which adhere to appropriate standards and best practices · Unit and peer testing of software code · Problem investigation, debugging and resolution · Data mining
Skills · At least 3+ years of ASP. Net / C# web/win form development. · Strong experience with front end web development tools, including WPF, AJAX, Silver light, CSS, JavaScript, XML, DHTML · Experience working with WWF, WCF · Strong relational database experience with hands on experience writing T-SQL queries and stored procedures for SQL Server 2005/2008. · Exposure to unit testing framework such as nUnit, MS Test · Experience with scripting languages (Perl, shell) is a plus · Experience with SSIS, Reporting Services is a plus · Data mining experience is a plus · Enterprise Applications (Archer/Oracle AP,PO) exposure is a plus · Experience with SharePoint (MOSS / WSS) application development a plus · Excellent communication skills (oral and written) · Ability to work independently and as part of a team · Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to think creatively · Comfortable with fast pace, high pressure front office environment
