Socio Economic Business Liaison
Responsible for increasing awards to Small Business (SB), Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), Historically Black Colleges/University and Minority Institutions (HBCUs/MIs), Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), Service0Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and HUBzone Small Business and assure that maximum practicable subcontracting opportunities are offered to all.
Assures the company meets full government compliance. Oversees and manages compliance reviews by the Small Business Administration and other oversight agencies
Prepares and reviews Subcontracting Plans. Implements all elements of FAR 52.219-9. Participate in the process and pre-proposal activities with the appropriate decision-making management to ensure the maximum practicable participation for all classes of SBs.
Monitors adherence to all applicable procurement procedures in soliciting all classes of SBs to achieve maximum potential bid exposure. Where no SB concern is known for a commodity, provides assistance in locating potential sources or confirm that none are known. Acts as the focal point for all potential source referrals distributes referral information to applicable buying groups and follows-up for disposition. Acts as advocate for all classes of SBs.
Review, prepare and monitor Small Business requirements, ensure that contractually required small business reports are accurately prepared and are submitted on time, develop and maintain database of small businesses, attend networking events, participate in bid and proposal efforts, and provide training in all aspects of the small business program.
Periodically attending and/or arranging for the attendance of company representatives at outreach events, business opportunity workshops, Minority Business Enterprise Seminars, Trade Fairs, etc.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelors' Degree or equivalent years of experience.
• Minimum of 6 years experience in supply chain management
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience using SAP
• Excellent Power Point, MS Project, Visio, Access and Excel Drive proactive process analysis and collaborate with
personnel across the organization to develop process insights
and improvement activities
• Strong cross-functional team leadership and communication
• Able to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Self-starter with a results oriented and metrics-driven performance
• Ability to manage multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications: Some international business experience a plus, but not required.
