Small Molecule Scientist
Title: Small Molecule Scientist Location: Virginia-Arlington
Key Role: Monitor and assess technology development in the areas of clinical genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, and vaccine and drug development. Act as a technical consultant to government research and development clients and work with world-class scientists in driving forward small molecule and novel therapeutic research efforts and the defense applications based on them. Maintain and leverage technical expertise and relationships in serving clients to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support of senior decision-makers, create technical reports, present findings, track technical progress of client contracts, develop technology program plans, and perform other related tasks, as required. This position is located in Arlington, VA. Basic Qualifications: -2 years of experience with research related to novel therapeutics and drug development -2 years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for both technical and non-technical audiences -2 years of experience with postdoctoral or pharmaceutical industry research -Knowledge of drug development and regulatory requirements, including FDA -Ability to obtain a security clearance -PhD degree
Additional Qualifications: -Experience with defense research and development -Experience with industrial and commercial pharmaceutical or program management a plus -Possession of excellent client service skills -PhD in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or related discipline
