Crowe's Public Sector Services (PSS) team provides assurance, financial advisory, tax and consulting services to state and local government, education, long-term care and hospice organizations.

Responsibilities:
This position will focus on the State of Illinois market primarily and have ability to travel on other Assurance or Consulting projects as the need arises. Candidate will be involved in a variety of consulting projects, such as outsourced accounting, internal audit services, risk assessment services, sub recipient monitoring, business process reviews, client training, etc. Individual may also lead audits of governmental and non-profit organizations, working directly with clients in the field, supervising fieldwork and supervising staff accountants.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with 4 to 6 years of accounting audit and/or consulting experience
*
Not-for-Profit and governmental, including Illinois State Agency, Local Government, School District and/or Community College auditing experience is desired.
*
Consulting services require a strong accounting background, analytical skills, risk assessment and internal control expertise, and presentation skills
*
Must be a quick learner, possess good communication skills, able to work alone with little supervision and work effectively in teams, able to meet deadlines, have a strong client service orientation.
*
Some out of town/overnight travel may be required.
*
CPA required at the Manager level
