We are recruiting for a Senior Staff accountant for a large client headquartered in Indianapolis. This is a new position due to the growing demands of the group and organization with potential for growth opportunity. The position reports to the Assistant Controller and has significant exposure to management team and mentoring/leadership opportunities to others in department
Main Responsibilities:
-Involvement with monthly/quarterly close process- participation with key job duties each month related to close
-Perform various account reconciliations
-Perform bank reconciliations
-Actual vs. Budget variance analysis
-Involvement and mentoring with others in department
-Special projects/ad hoc analysis as directed by management
Requirements:
-Bachelors Degree Accounting/Finance or related field from a 4-year accredited university
-At least 2+ years of experience in a staff accountant position with a mid-to- large size organization
-Experience with accounting systems
-Proficiency with Excel
-Strong written/verbal communication skills
