Overview:
The Senior Sourcing Analyst is responsible for recording, analyzing, interpreting, and developing executable reporting and metrics utilized in the day-to-day functions of the Sourcing Department, in support of Company Policies and Procedures. Responsibilities:
(This is a representative list of the general duties the position may be asked to perform, and is not intended to be all-inclusive) * Perform cost/ benefit analyses for key project deliverables * Identify cost savings opportunities based on past, present, and expected projections and market opportunities (domestic & international) * Maintain FedEx Office's relationship with certain keys suppliers, including identifying continuous improvement opportunities. * Represent Sourcing on cross-functional teams organized around various business initiatives * Update and maintain accurate item master in e-procurement system * Participate in system implementations for the Sourcing team, including but not limited to electronic data interchange * Develop reports and metrics designed to monitor the achievement of expected savings, daily activities, and other relevant data to be utilized by Sourcing and the Field * Work closely with suppliers to monitor inventory, manage product end-of-life timelines, and roll out supply for new programs * Develop positive working relationships and interact with internal and Field-based team members to ensure adherence to corporate purchasing/sourcing policies and procedures * All other duties as needed or required Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelors degree or equivalent experience * 3+ years of relevant experience * Experience in sourcing best practices, strategies and processes, technology and purchasing systems, project management, and quantitative analysis * Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint * Understanding of competitive supplier quotations (RFP, RFI and RFQ), contracts and assessing supplier quality to make the proper decisions based on price/quality/service mix. * For new hires, must meet all FedEx Office employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful passing of background check * For current FedEx Office team members, must meet hiring criteria for the position and transfer requirements as outlined in the Team Member Handbook
