Our National Security Division is currently seeking a Protection Operations Specialist III. This position is located in Arlington, VA.
DESCRIPTION Selected applicant will be responsible for supporting an Operations Cell in the Washington, DC area. Support will involve the planning and execution of training centered on personal protective equipment (PPE) familiarization and emergency response operations in support of all-hazards operations and incidents. Responsibilities will include supporting the planning and execution of PPE training for over 80,000 DoD employees and contractors in the Washington DC area. Additional responsibilities will include the support of various exercises and the training of response personnel. The position will require the applicant to have excellent written and verbal skills and to be able to work and contribute as a member of an operations and planning team. The successful candidate must be a U.S. citizen and either have a current secret security clearance or be eligible to maintain a Secret clearance. The place of duty for this position will be in the Arlington, VA.
Major Responsibilities:
Develops, implements and supports the operations of client protection programs.
Completes advanced research tasks in support of operational defense protection projects/tasks.
Develops and implements policy, program and/or plan development.
Coordinates with Federal, State, Tribal, Regional, Local, Service, and/or Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) in support of clients.
Conducts report development of Emergency Operations-related hazard threat, vulnerability, consequence, and/or response capability assessments.
Supports the development and/or execution of training, exercise, and/or readiness evaluation tasks.
Participates in protection operations in support of client, to include but not limited to, Incident Command Post, Mobile Command Post, Operations Center, Dispatch Center, Joint Information Center, Family Assistance Center, Joint Field Office, and/or Joint Task Force activities.
Supports the planning and execution of logistical support to operations related to training.

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5 to 10 years of experience or 15+ years of experience with protection operations, preparedness, continuity, and contingency planning.
Must demonstrate intermediate writing, speaking, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient knowledge and experience required of Microsoft Office Products (MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint), Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Must be willing to travel inside the United States and foreign travel overseas and in North America.
Must be able to maintain a minimum of a DoD Secret Clearance or equivalent for work with supported clients.
THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
Masters degree.
Current DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
Previous Military or Government WMD experience.
Team oriented and possesses the ability to work closely with other team members.
Detail oriented with the ability to work under deadlines.
Proficient knowledge and experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio.
