Under the direction of the Vice President, Director of Marketing Communications, the Senior Manager, Production Services is accountable for the management of a specialized and technically-trained production team that optimizes productivity, maximizes cost savings while delivering a great customer experience.

This role oversees the production of all sales and direct mail programs, in-branch collateral, and brochures in support of business objectives. The Senior Manager, Production Services is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the self-publishing system for regional branch use and ensures BMO Harris Bank's brand strategy and graphic standards are adhered to in all print, direct mail and local-area marketing communications. The Senior Manager, Production Services collaborates and manages relationships with key partners -- including Advertising, Product, Procurement & Strategic Sourcing -- as well as all applicable external preferred suppliers.

Key accountabilities include:

A. Relationship/Vendor Management
? Primary contact for all external BMO Harris preferred print and direct mail suppliers as it relates to Personal & Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Private Client Group and Corporate Marketing initiatives along with print management (online print procurement).
? Maintain effective business relationships within BMO Harris to foster collaboration and partnerships.
? Manage the interaction between BMO Harris and our agencies and vendors. Set up systems to monitor work, consult with other team members as needed, and facilitate quick resolution of issues.

B. Project Management
? Oversee development and execution of all initiatives within Production Services, including but not limited to: direct mail, in-branch merchandising, brochures, collateral.
? Direct a team of specialized Production Managers to optimize project support and ensure timely execution in a cost-effective manner.
? Ensure adherence of quality standards, including brand/graphic standards, production-ready art, pre-press, laser, and lettershop.
? Manage multiple complex, time-critical projects with changing objectives. Includes ad-hoc projects and crisis communications.
? Identify and negotiate solutions as timeline, cost or other issues arise.
? Actively share expertise, learning and best practices insights with team and partners.

C. Budget Management
? Proactively source and monitor cost-saving opportunities for all assigned projects, leveraging economies of scale and cross-border efficiencies whenever possible.
? Carefully monitor and make critical decisions about marketing spend in relation to overall available funding.
? Process and approve all billings; track all projects completed.

D. Managerial Leadership & Planning
? Provides overall strategy, leadership and direction to a team of employees by setting context and direction, defining accountabilities, tasks and assignments and establishing boundaries for decision-making and approvals.
? Coaches and motivates direct reports and provides guidance and mentoring to help resolve complex issues.
? Provides development opportunities to direct reports, including the identification of training needs, creation and implementation of appropriate development plans, monitoring, documenting and providing regular feedback on performance.
? Establishes individual goals and assess the necessary support to achieve these goals.
? Evaluates individual performance of direct reports based on BMO's behavior model and values.
? Ensures the production team maintains current technical expertise as it relates to industry developments in print and direct mail technology and processes and self publishing.
? Establish the production team as internal subject matter experts and the key supplier of choice when executing print and direct mail programs for BMO Harris groups.
? Other accountabilities as assigned.
