Senior Pricing Analyst
Title: Senior Pricing Analyst Location: MD-Lanham We are currently seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst position to work in our Sales Controller organization supporting the government sector. The primary responsibility will be to partner with the Sales leaders and Operations leaders to develop appropriate financial models for new government contracts, option year executions and recompete contracts. The role will be responsible for building up pricing models based on RFP submission requirements. The candidate will attend RFP working sessions, sales and solution design meetings and be an active participant in the pricing and competitive analysis discussions. Ensure that the pricing strategy is fully compliant with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Truth in Negotiation Act (TINA), Service Contract Act (SCA) General Service Administration (GSA) and Pitney Bowes financial policies and procedures.
The selected candidate must operate autonomously to drive pricing strategy, achieve government compliance and analyze profitability for all Pitney Bowes Government Solutions deals.
Key Responsibilities * Function as the expert on Government pricing requirements (regulations, compliance and practice) and offer potential strategies to best position and format PBGS price build up * Work with labor cost and indirect rates to develop hourly rate build up structures * Develop multiple types of pricing scenarios based on RFP requirements or best PBGS strategy; fixed price, time and material, variable productivity type (piece price, productivity based) etc * Develop other direct cost estimates to include travel, vendor costs, and material cost proposals * Analyze the price proposal for risk and profitability * Ensure work is accurate and in accordance with PBMS Financial policy and procedures * The successful candidate will need to interface with senior external/internal customers and have excellent presentation skills * Highly motivated and a self-starter with the ability to manage concurrent proposal assignments and function in a time-sensitive situations * Ability to question and solve complex contract or pricing issues * Proven ability to work with cross-functional groups and drive pricing strategy development and decision making * Familiarity with sales processes and contracting processes * Ability to identify and drive process improvements * Ability to consult effectively with senior management and clients on various financial issues, while building trust credibility * Limited travel required. * Ideal candidate must be able to document key financial assumptions as well as the ability to prepare high-level executive summary. * Bachelors degree in Finance preferred with a minimum of 6 to 8 year of experience in pricing. * 6 to 8 years of Government pricing experience per the responsibilities above * Significant experience in Service Contract Act and Wage Determination as it relates to pricing requirements and compliance * Significant experience in labor and equipment based government pricing * Significant experience with various pricing structures; fixed fee, time and materials and variable productivity type (piece price, productivity based) etc * MBA preferred * Excellent skills in financial analysis including Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Net Present Value (NPV) and financial models. * Strong business acumen e.g. ability to interpret, evaluate and apply financial data/information to business decisions. * Knowledge of GSA * Experience in working an outsourcing industry a plus * Excellent skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. * Must be able to to obtain security clearance.
