Position Overview: The Senior Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and administration of employee payroll and for ensuring proper reporting and tax requirements are met according to established schedules. He or will also be responsible for maintaining and filing all payroll records. Responsibilities:
Input all special payments and deduction adjustments as required. enter all wage with holdings, garnishments, child support orders and levies
Accurately maintain time and attendance records, payroll pension and benefit premium calculations, reviews , etc.
Process non-pay related maintenance such as W4 changes, voluntary deduction setups and changes
Review automated system output such as registered and standard reports, determining/correcting out of balance conditions
Process employee payroll, including timekeeping records (e.g. sick leave, vacation and other absences, and so forth)
Ensure accuracy of payroll by processing pre payroll transmissions audits and balancing prior to transmission to outside payroll service vendor
Answer employee questions as it pertains to pay
Maintain and file payroll records
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
Associate degree, preferably in Accounting or Business Management or, equivalent combination of work experience and education is needed.
1 to 2 years of general payroll experience is needed. Experience working with payroll service vendors is a plus.
ADP Certified Payroll Specialist (ADP-CPS) and/ or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) designation is preferred.
Experience with automated time keeping system, ADP,10-key proficiency and strong overall computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel is needed.
Additional Information: Travel is not required, however, may be possible.
