As a key member of the Payroll Team, this position is responsible for effectively updating and or verifying all payroll transactions to ensure timely and accurate payrolls. This associate will work closely with EDM Administrators, CSA Reps, Benefits and other domains to ensure all updates are as required. In some cases this associate will also be required to work closely with the client to ensure all transactions are processed as required.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:
Complete offcycle requests manual checks and reversals as required
Responsible for updating and verifying hundreds of payroll transactions received daily and to process all types of payrolls hourly, salaried, weekly, biweekly, semimonthly, monthly to ensure that the client receive an accurate and timely pay deposit. Information can ultimately be captured by image, Siebel request, via self-service, or manually data requests.

Key responsibilities are as follows to ensure employees are paid correctly:
Terminations, Retires, Deaths (Exits).
New Hires & Rehires, Employee Payroll Data Updates (Direct Deposits, Tax, General Deductions, Additional Pay and Garnishments)
Salary Changes & processing Retro-active payments if required

Investigating/correcting/communicating all inquiries from employees on any discrepancies with their pay ie. over/under payments, incorrect pay, general inquiries
Ensure that the payrolls are calculated and confirmed with no errors within PeopleSoft or if other payroll systems are used, transfer the files and then running or ensuring pay advices and EFT have been processed to ensure employees are paid accurately and timely.
Managing/working the Siebel Queues and Content Manager to ensure all work received from client has been verified and processed.
Maintain knowledge of various collective bargaining agreements, Client HR policies and procedures and Process Guides to align services accordingly as well as ensuring payroll knowledge is maintained with all current legislation changes

* Good working computer skills (Lotus Notes and MicroSoft Office applications including Excel & Word)
* Strong attention to detail and execution
* Accurate and timely data entry
* Manages to work to meet/exceed client requirements for KPI's & SLA's Ability to work in a high volume environment
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to document procedures and follow instructions
* Ability to work successfully in team environment
* Works well under pressure and handles crisis situations effectively and professionally
* Working knowledge of one of the Payroll Systems that is applicable for the client:: PeopleSoft SAP, ADP, Ceridan, Cyborg
* Require good working knowledge of either Canadian or United States payroll processing
