Senior Manager, Project Planning (Sports Marketing/Retail)

Purpose:

Drives, develops and implements master supply chain plans according to the resource and capacity constraints of the sourcing organization which satisfy the needs of our Golf company's markets and subsidiaries. Connects the core functions of the business and drives and measures KPIs to ensure seamless processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Functions as the Senior Global Supply Planning /SCM contact for our Golf brands. Is involved in the creation of the business needs and objectives and manages the planning and supply chain initiatives supporting them. Defines, implement and enforces all relevant processes and policies.
  • Implements continuous forecast, order and planning volume analysis to review demand changes and the resulting impact on the business. Initiates continuous communication and drives resolution with Sales, Marketing, Project Management, Sourcing, Costing and SCI/Subsidiaries when significant shifts occur and in regards of demand and capacity fill rates.
  • Develops, defines and coordinates Golf specific initiatives, special projects and necessary policies and timelines between Logistics, Project Management, LO's, Marketing and Subsidiaries for the assigned BU, brand or project.
  • Controls and implements critical product review process (CPR) to understand business needs and constraints and to ensure on time delivery of critical styles and programs. Cooperate with Marketing, Project Management, SCI / Demand Planning and Sourcing to define, implement and track priority ranges.
  • Directs the project planning process for Carlsbad to minimize production issues, production start delays, balance tooling capacity with subsidiary demand, and support improved management delivery performance.
  • Consistently defines, tracks and measure the performance of relevant delivery targets; responsible for detailed follow-up actions on any variations.
  • Takes the lead on projects to review operational procedures and practices towards the goal of making continuous business improvement. Manages on-going projects by defining timelines and milestones, writing project briefs and defining specifications as required.
  • Provide team with clear direction, projects and targets that are aligned with business needs and GOPS objectives.
  • Create a motivational and supportive work environment in which employees are challenged, coached, trained and provided with career opportunities.

  • Strong team player with the ability to work with diverse groups of people in a productive manner.
  • Advanced computer skills including the MS Office suite and the ability to quickly learn and use internal systems/software.


    Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4 year college or university degree with a focus on Supply Chain or apparel preferred. Alternative equivalent training and 4 years related work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 8 years work experience with focus on production, materials, planning or analysis. Apparel or footwear industry preferred.
