Your main challenges * Ensure the sound management of your sector and create a motivating work environment. * Orient management and operations strategies to reach the business objectives of your sector and ensure that the various stakeholders follow these orientations. * Maximize employee contribution by setting performance objectives and encouraging innovation. * Help identify problematic situations and play a part in resolving complex and delicate issues. * Act as an expert advisor for various committees and make recommendations to reach the Bank's efficiency and profitability objectives. * Interact with your sector's management to advise them on the Bank's strategy and persuade the various parties to cooperate or give their approval. * Remain informed about new developments in your sector and determine the orientations to follow to ensure the evolution of processes, systems and work methods. Specifically, you will:
* Manage and support a team of six to eight Managers - International Trade in Toronto and Vancouver. * Act as (sales and products) coach for your employees. * Develop strategies to increase and improve business revenue and volume. * Act as a senior management representative with external business partners (international associations, chambers of commerce, etc.). * Ensure business development and act as resource person for major clients. * Liaise with the various sections of the International sector to ensure outstanding service delivery to clients. * A completed Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 10 years of relevant experience, or a completed Master's degree in a related field plus eight years of relevant experience * Experience in direct marketing, and using international trade financing and risk management products (interest rates, currencies and commodities), and factoring solutions * Experience in foreign exchange operations * Experience working with commercial clients * Minimum of three years of personnel management experience * Solid experience and knowledge of the international market and products * Knowledge of financial markets * Knowledge of government programs and organizations that support international development (EDC, IFC, etc.) * Solid understanding of macroeconomic variables * Excellent knowledge of business * Demonstrated people skills * Demonstrated discipline and autonomy * Ability to structure and synthesize information * Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team * Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French)
