An International Consultant (Analyst or Associate) helps Senior Associate and Principal-level International Consultants provide advice to clients on a wide range of human resources issues, including the design of benefit and compensation programs around the world, financing of and accounting for the programs, investing retirement plan assets, conducting multi-country mergers and acquisitions, and developing remuneration policies for internationally mobile employees. To fulfill this role, the International Consultant will:
Carry out project work for multinational clients and generally support Senior Associate and Principal-level International Consultants in providing International Consulting advice and services to clients
* Under supervision of Senior Associate and Principal-level International Consultants: * Assist to address corporate HR and Finance queries concerning non-US benefits and compensation including legislative requirements, plan design, vendors and market practice * Assist to advise clients on legislative requirements and market practices for local country benefits and compensation programs * Assist to advise clients around expatriate policies, employment contracts and design and implementation of expatriate benefit plans * Assist to advise clients on design and implementation of benefit plans, HR systems and compensation practices when expanding overseas * Assist to assist clients with the development of global risk frameworks * Carry out multi country benefit audits including comparison with market practice * Support consulting advice on the people aspects of multi country merger and acquisitions across all deal phases (from due diligence to post-deal implementation) for the benefits workstream * Carry out global accounting coordination for employee benefit plans, primarily under US GAAP
Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, finance, business or related field * Minimum two to four years of actuarial experience in the pension or employee benefits field, preferrably in a consulting environment * Actuarial exam progress and commitment to achieving actuarial designations, (e.g., ASA, FSA, EA, FIA, FCIA) * Proficient with Microsoft Office
