Senior HR Research Analyst (Sports Management/Finance)

The Sr. HR Research Analyst will report to Director, HR Analytics and HRIS, and will provide strategic internal consulting services and analytical and technical expertise to HR colleagues across business units. The Research Analyst will partner with HR Analytics and HRIS colleagues to execute projects, standard reports and statistical models designed to advance the state of evidence based consulting and decision making within our Human Resources.

The goal of HR analytics at our company is to manage workforce information driving smart decisions in support of short- and long-term organizational goals. It is an emerging HR discipline that provides our Company and Parent Company with critical insight into how to best leverage our greatest asset, Our People.

HR Analytics comprises three key, interdependent components, People, Process and Technology, that will yield both tangible and intangible benefits. Tangible benefits include cost and time savings through the elimination of manual data collection and reporting methods as well as new visualizations that feature role-driven metrics and analytics. Intangible benefits include better decision-making, an increased employee value proposition, and regulatory compliance effected by access to timely, reliable

Responsibilities

  • Develop, prepare and analyze metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR outcomes globally.
  • A critical component of this role will be working across multiple data sources and applying established statistical methods to gather, analyze, and interpret research data to derive useful information for a business audience.
  • Performs statistical analyses and makes recommendations on complex issues such as determining appropriate survey sampling strategies, retention outlook, employee engagement driver analysis, mitigating adverse impact, and turnover forecasting.
  • Using a variety of established survey design and statistical methods (regression, predictive modeling, data mining etc.) to gather, analyze, and interpret research data and derive useful information for HR initiatives
  • Analyze internal HR data and perform research on external labor market and demographic trends.
  • Designs and develops HR metrics, dashboard, analysis and data reporting to support HR and business.
  • Independently plans and conducts applied research projects; includes appropriate research methods and sampling plan, data collection strategies, statistical techniques, and project management.
  • Provides training to internal HR stakeholders on data interpretation, data evaluation, and statistical techniques, as required.
  • Transfers knowledge and skills to HR clients in the area of analytical technique and designs approaches and processes for effective use of metrics and analytics across HR to drive business results.
  • The Research analyst will assist the Director HR Analytics & HRIS in designing a HR Analytics capability framework that enables a shift from stand-alone reporting to sophisticated analysis and reporting of HR functions and strategic initiatives.
  • Formats data, and develops and prepares charts, tables, and other related documents and graphics.
  • Produces clear, concise reports or presentation; Presents methodology and conclusions of analyses directly to client and/or senior executive teams.

    Basic Qualifications

  • Strong applied mathematical, statistical, and analytic skills to interpret descriptive and inferential statistics are required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in statistical software required (SPSS preferred)
  • Experience in HR Analytics, HR Metrics, Business Intelligence (BI), Balanced Scorecard methodology, statistical reporting and broad knowledge of business intelligence concepts including report delivery strategies and dashboards
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and a high degree of initiative and creativity required.
  • Must be skilled in communicating with business stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be capable of communicating complex analytical information to business audience.
  • Possesses strong team and client focus and must demonstrate leadership skills to effectively manage projects and client relationships.
  • Strong project management skills

    Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP HR reporting, Cognos , Zoomerang, Access and or related data tools experience a plus

    Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, I/O Psychology, or other social science discipline with extensive quantitative coursework along with 4 years of information analysis experience or a MS/MBA/MA degree in fields listed above along with a minimum of 2 year of applicable experience
