This position is a key part of our financial reporting team. The team member will be involved in technical accounting research, documentation and implementation. The team member will also be a key player in our Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) annual assessment, participating in testing, review and documentation of key controls. Financial statement responsibilities will consist of preparing financial statements as part of the annual audit process, including all key financial statements and disclosures. This will also include working directly with the external auditors to assist in completing the annual audits.
The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:
* Technical accounting research and documentation, and implementation.
* Internal Controls over Financial Reporting - testing, review, and documentation.
* Preparation of financial statements for audit purposes.
* Coordination and direct contact with the external auditors during the annual audits of the various financial statements.
The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or business/finance with an accounting emphasis required.
* Master's degree in accounting preferred.
* CPA preferred.
* 4 years financial reporting/public accounting experience required.
* Big 4 experience preferred.
* Working knowledge of US GAAP.
* Understanding of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting.
* Ability to research and document conclusions on technical accounting issues.
* Financial statement preparation experience.
* Multi-tasking and organizational skills.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Research and problem solving skills.
* Ability to work autonomously.
* Project Management knowledge preferred.
* Leadership abilities.
