General Description:
This position reports directly to the PAS Assistant Controller. This position is responsible for the financial reporting of the U.S. PAS revenues. In addition, this position provides support to the US Sales and Marketing teams in analyzing and forecasting US Revenues. This position is also responsible for the financial analysis, reporting, and business support for the BD Lab Consulting business as well as other special projects as required.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the reporting and coordination of the SOF, annual budget, quarterly projections, and monthly actual reporting in support of U.S. revenues including, but not limited to:
a. Prepare and update the U.S. sales forecasting model used by the U.S. Product Managers for SOF, annual budget and quarterly projections.
b. Provide analysis of the respective forecasts and budgets. Special emphasis is placed on supporting the US Product Managers with their current product line trends and the bottom line impact of future sales projections.
c. Prepare, analyze and provide management with recommendations pertaining to the adequacy of all the sales accruals. This includes the 'Z' rebate accrual. This reserve has a value of approximately $65MMM.
d. Responsible for the daily order report by major distributor and key products.
e. Prepare and analyze the US Price Volume analysis.
f. Compile and maintain worldwide royalty data required for contractual obligations.
g. Maintain the product hierarchy for the entire division.
2. Provide various analysis regarding Sales using BW to provide meaningful analysis regarding historical trends and assistance in forecasting future revenue trends.
3. Participate in the monthly demand consensus meeting to ensure product line sales estimates are in line with manufacturing requirements.
4. Provides financial and business support to BD Lab Consulting business
5. Prepare various year-end reporting and tax package schedules as required.
6. Participate as a core team member on a new product development team. Provide business guidance and all financial support including completion of financial models and sensitivity analysis.
7. Responsible for the preparation of special analysis, presentations, etc as requested.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA preferred.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:
CPA a plus
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum six years progressive experience in a finance environment with exposure to general accounting, financial analysis, corporate reporting and manufacturing operations.
Extensive experience and expertise with various computer software programs, including Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Hyperion and SAP Business Warehouse
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Excellent understanding of financial evaluation techniques.
Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to communicate with all levels of management including locations outside the U.S.
KNOWLEDGE OF SPECIFIC PROCEDURES/PRACTICES:
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
