Requirements: The Senior Financial Analyst position requires a candidate with a strong background in Finance or Accounting with experience or interest in risk analysis and risk management. The successful candidate will primarily work with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and communicate information and projections related to financial performance and capital management. Primary responsibilities will include analyzing and forecasting financial performance to support regulatory requirements and requests, developing or maintaining business models that support internal financial forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning, developing and maintaining analysis and management reporting packages, completing rating agency requests, and supporting risk management monitoring activities. Essential Accountabilities: * Prepare and review 3-year consolidated and segment forecasts of income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow. Identify trends and analyze financial and non-financial data to provide critical decision support to Corporate and segment leadership. * Prepare and review monthly and quarterly income and expense analysis schedules (e.g., premium reports, Board package schedules, etc.). * Prepare and review consolidated and detailed budget schedules and analysis, capital allocation models, and summary schedules. * Research and prepare rating agency questionnaires and special requests. Prepare and review Risk Based Capital (RBC) and AM Best Capital Allocation Ratio (BCAR) projections. Develop analysis packages used for presentations to rating agencies. * Support ad hoc analysis requests, including those supporting potential acquisitions. * Prepare and review risk management reports, support ongoing risk identification and evaluation activities, and support risk management committee requests.
Position qualifications include: * Bachelor of Arts or Science in Accounting or Finance required; advanced education preferred. * Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensing required. * Minimum of five (5) years experience in Accounting/Financial Analysis with two (2) years minimum senior level experience. * Demonstrated experience in modeling/budgeting/forecasting and variance analysis required. * Strong knowledge of databases and Hyperion Planning experience preferred. * Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills are necessary to present ideas and findings to Senior Management. * Candidate must have experience dealing with the interpretation of data. * Candidates that possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team atmosphere are highly desired.
