The Senior Financial Analyst performs various reimbursement functions such as preparing unit rate and charge per case compliance schedules, analyzing rate variances and preparing rate changes, and preparing annual reports. Responsibilities include reviewing month-end reporting model including unit rate compliance, and reviews rate changes based on findings while implementing necessary rate changes; Prepares charge per case compliance schedules on a monthly basis and recommends rate changes based on findings; Completes Medicare and HSCRC Annual filing, meeting deadlines; Responsible for required maintenance to charge description master; Acts as liaison for hospital issues with the HSCRC staff, while maintaining ongoing communication to review programs, provide feedback, discuss new developments, and exchange information; Calculates the unit rates for budget and review of hospital revenue; Determines revenue impact of changes to Medicare and HSCRC regulations.
Requirements include: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. 2-5 years Finance experience in the healthcare industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
