Job Description
Incumbent will be responsible for the design, lead and implement of a comprehensive business planning process and completion, coordination and submission of month end reporting packages.
Design, lead and implement a comprehensive business planning process, including three Forecast cycles, Operating Plan and Long Range Plan (LRP)
•Develop clear timelines, responsibilities and deliverabiles
•Accountable for coordination of GBU and Functional Forecast, Plan and LRP data. Ensures timely and accurate Cognos submission to Corporate for all Forecast, Plan and LRP content
•Takes a leadership role in the creation of the Regional Forecast, Plan and LRP submissions and presentation materials, including ad hoc analysis.
•Develop presentations and communications for senior management, including participation in Canadian Leadership Team meetings as required.
•Liase with Global Planning regarding submission requirements and deadlines.
•Consolidates and summarizes at the Canada and GBU level all key messages and variances in a clear and concise and accurate manner.
•Provides analytical support relating to Cash Flow, Average Working Capital and Capex
•Provides Cognos support to local GBU and Functions
•Identfies and implements improvements, and efficiencies in key processes Accountable for completion, coordination and submission of month end reporting packages. Interpret and clearly communicate in a timely and relevant manner monthly, quarterly and ytd results versus Plan/Forecast/Prior year to senior management
•Preliminary Sales reporting
•Day 3 Flash results
•Corporate monthly operating review packages (MOR)
•Monthly operationg review packages for International President
•Measure and recommend improvements for Forecast accuracy
•SG&A reporting and analysis
•Anticipates questions and provides variance explanations and coordinates requests with other finance team members
•Proactively identifies risk and opportunities and communicate their implications
•Ad hoc requests and analysis as required Identfies and implements improvements, and efficiencies in key processes
Assist with the evaluation and implementation of Cognos tool in Finance for building financial plans and forecasts, management reporting and analytics
Support other Baxter Canada planning initiatives as required
Job Requirements
Education Level
Required:
•University degree
•CA, CGA, CMA or MBA Finance designation Major Subjects / Specialties

Required:
Minimum 4 years Finance Experience

•Excellent technical skills, including financial modelling in excel, powerpoint and word (JD Edwards and Cognos experience are assets)
