Summary:
Senior level position, responsible for conducting and documenting complex financial analysis projects. Job may provide functional advice or training to less experienced financial analyst jobs. Supervise day-to-day unit activities for a function supporting the entire organization. Activities impact the most complex expense and/or systems/operational projects dealing with reports and data management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and document complex financial and business analysis.
- Prepare reports and presentations for company and Travelers PL management; assist others with integrity of information in their reporting processes.
- Support ongoing financial planning and forecasting processes.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff within Finance analysis function.
- Handle large complex projects and resolve difficult issues.
- Participate on cross functional project teams and provide financial expertise.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis as needed by Finance and Senior Management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in finance or accounting. Significant financial analysis/accounting experience.
- In depth knowledge of accounting practices and principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in spreadsheet and database software and financial modeling tools.
- Understanding of insurance products preferred, but not required.
- Effectively articulates financial/accounting/expense reporting issues to team members, management and external parties.
