Sr. Analyst, Finance (Financial Planning) develops pro-forma financial statements for the annual budget and monthly forecast process. Provides detailed financial variance analysis for monthly management reports. Participates and assists in development of Revenue budget, forecasts and variance analyses.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Contributes to development of the long-term strategy, business plans, performance targets and annual budgets for the business.
Performs financial analyses of financial results, prepares forecasts and evaluates shareholder return provided by the business and its segments.
Monitors, consults and facilitates development of performance measurements and process improvements.
Participates in the development and compilation of a monthly business unit report package for use by EED Senior Management.
Interacts with Corporate Planning, Corporate FP&A, Treasury and utility FP&A and Accounting groups in the development of budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and various ad-hoc analysis.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum: Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, accounting, engineering or other scientific discipline.
Minimum: 5 years relevant experience such as strategy, business planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, variance analysis or financial modeling.
Minimum: Ability to analyze, interpret and make recommendations related to financial accounting statements.
Minimum: Strong analytical skills in measurement frameworks, tools, and approaches, including financial valuation and analysis, with ability to implement planning and analysis frameworks, and best practices around methodologies and analysis techniques.
Minimum: Experience interacting and communicating across functional areas such as with line organization, corporate finance and controllers departments.
Minimum: Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups and activities while maintaining proper focus on major tactical and strategic initiatives. Ability to perform under pressure and/or opposition.
Minimum: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Minimum: Strong financial and mathematical skills. Demonstrated advanced skill in PC applications.
Preferred: MBA or strong quantitative graduate degree.

Direct planning and budgeting tasks.
Reporting responsibilities within EED Finance
