JOIN US AS A SR. FINANCIAL ANALYST, MERCHANDISE FINANCE About This Opportunity
As a Senior Financial Analyst in Merchandising Finance, you will support decision making and provide analysis to a specific merchandising division. You will partner with your merchant clients to create meaningful seasonal plans, and monthly forecasts that accurately reflect the state of the business, and provide for a meaningful financial benchmark to compare performance to. You will provide ad hoc decision making support for strategic initiatives and special projects. You will work closely with a Divisional Merchandising Manager (Director or VP level), and their team, and also have exposure to the Merchandising SVP of your area.
Use your skills, experience and talents to be a part of groundbreaking thinking and visionary goals. As a Sr. Financial Analyst you will
Lead merchant clients through seasonal planning process to determine sales, margin, and inventory goals for future periods.
Influence merchant clients' forecast and assess the current state of the business, uncovering underlying drivers of business performance.
Analyze current business trends, new vendor agreements, possible new product launches, and many other topics.
Be a subject matter captain within the Merchandise Finance team, responsible for training new team members on your area of expertise, and providing expert guidance on an ad hoc basis to fellow team members. Requirements
4-year college degree - Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance
MBA Desired
Four or more years previous Finance/Accounting/Audit or related Operations Experience
Experience working with spreadsheet applications (Microsoft Excel)
Excellent analytical, decision-making, project management, planning and organization skills
Outstanding communication and relationship-building aptitude
Assertiveness and strong initiative
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
Two or more years Target experience preferred
