Find out more about us at: We are currently seeking Senior Financial Analyst/Cost Accountant, Finance Operations for REM CT State Office. This position will based in Dedham, MA. SUMMARY The primary role of the Senior Financial Analyst/Cost Accountant, Finance Operations is montoring the monthly coast reporting of all State of CT, DSS/DDS contracts for CLA, SLA, and Day Services. The Senior Financial Analyst/Cost Accountant, Finance Operations performs complex statistical, cost and financial analysis of financial reports and data and prepares subsequent narrative analysis for management. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below. Completes all cost reports, audits and cost report analysis timely and accurately. Reviews expense coding and ensure compliance with ACHA (Medicaid) guidelines, as appropriate.
Analyzes and reviews monthly financial results and provides recommendations to Operations Management
Prepares all budgets and forecasts. Prepares analysis and extracts information for the budget and forecast reviews, both unternal and external.
Complete all state level analysis and make recommendations to Operations Management
Review monthly account reconciliations, ensure follow up on outstanding balances
Assist with AR >90 day and DSO review
Create financial reports in Oracle/ADI and Hyperion
Acts as lead liaison with Corporate for internal and external audit requests. Responsible for participating in and communicating audit findings and recommendations for improved processes to managers and supervisors.
Works with the management team in developing systems and tracking internal controls.
Ensures Sarbanes Oxley compliance with all assigned areas and other audit requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job. Ideal candidate to have: State of CT, Department of Developmental Services/DSS Contract, cost reporting experience and/or state cost reporting experience. Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or commensurate experience.
