Senior Finance Specialist - Canadian Compliance
The Senior Finance Specialist - Canadian Compliance is responsible fortax compliance (including audits of income sales and environmental taxes) for the CCI operations. This will include, as needed, coordinating and monitoring of the various returns filed, researching and responding to tax audits, assisting the Manager-Chrysler Canada Tax Affairs and the Director-International Tax Affairs with general tax planning and tax planning for transactions by providing research and analytical support. More specifically responsibilities include preparing the annual income tax returns for the Chrysler Canada operations with respect to research and development tax credits and assistance with other parts of the income tax returns as needed,preparing responses to audit queries related to income, sales and environmental taxes and reviewing of related assessments,assisting with the preparation of sales and environmental tax returns, as necessary and interfacing with corporate staffs as needed in connection with tax compliance,working with the tax manager and interfacing with corporate staffs in the international area to determine the need and opportunities for tax planning involving Canadian operations, interfacing with outside tax advisors to determine the needs and opportunities for tax planning, reviewing the international and domestic transactions and operations for the year to assure compliance with Canadian, U.S. and foreign tax laws, and identifying planning opportunities. Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Business or Finance • Professional accounting designation, either CA,CGA,CMA or CPA • Minimum of three years tax experience or eight years combined experience in Finance and/or Accounting • Legally authorized to work in Canada
