Senior Equity Analyst - BlackRock Equity Dividend Fund
Business: Portfolio Management Group
Location: Plainsboro, NJ
Position ID: 5049

Description
BlackRock offers a range of investment products—equity, fixed income, liquidity and alternative investment—each managed by a dedicated investment team of portfolio managers, research analysts and traders. Focused portfolio management and proprietary research are the cornerstones of our investment philosophy, and portfolio construction is based on each team's market outlook.
The Equity Dividend investment team manages a suite of products that focuses primarily on large capitalization equities primarily in the US but is able and does invest overseas. The team employs a value-oriented investment discipline, all stocks upon entering the portfolios must pay a dividend and the investment universe is style-agnostic. The team’s objective is to protect on the downside by investing in higher quality dividend paying securities coupled with a focus on generating superior risk-adjusted returns during a market cycle.
The investment process is highly disciplined, research-intensive, and risk-informed. The team is comprised of 2 portfolio managers and one analyst. Portfolios are constructed bottom-up, company by company. The team utilizes proprietary risk analytics to ensure that active exposures are intentional, consistent with the team’s fundamental points-of-view, and appropriately scaled.
The candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a working investment thesis for a set of companies. The individual will be more of a generalist analyst. He or she will be responsible for relative-contribution to return for specific sectors but overall success will be determined and is measured by the total performance of the funds.
Qualifications:
* MBA or CFA desirable
* 10 years of investment experience, primarily value-core
* Extensive knowledge of financial markets
* Proven, verifiable track record
* Strong research, quantitative and analytical skills
* Creative and critical thinker
* Passion for investing
* Ability to work independently but highly focused on team collaboration
