Senior Database Administrator - DIRECT LABOR
Performs database administration, including optimization. Ensures the control, integrity and accessibility of database file structure of one or more database servers with multiple concurrent users. Approves database server specifications, installs and tests database servers, provides fault isolation/resolution, designs the distribution of database resources, provides physical modeling and design services, tunes database applications for optimum performance, and implements disaster recovery/contingency plans. Maintains and modifies the Oracle 11g suite, including Oracle Warehouse Builder extract/transform/load processes and procedures used to populate the Master Data Repository, Operational Data Store and Data Warehouse. Duty location is Pentagon.
Qualifications: Min Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or Business, or other related field. Must have min 10 years DBA experience with 5 years experience of Oracle database admin to include 1 year experience with Oracle 11g administration, database backup, server migration, optimization, and capacity planning and integrity routines. Must possess extensive knowledge procedure performance tuning,troubleshooting, and data modeling experience. Secret Clearance required.
