We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior in the Data/ERP(SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft, JD Edwards) space of our Tax Performance Advisory Practice. This position is focused on data requirements related to efficient tax processes. Globalization. Advances in technology. Increased visibility and transparency. Greater tax complexity and sensitivity to risk. The overall environment in which the corporate tax function operates has changed. Whether a corporate tax department has tax reporting, risk management, or unique process design needs, or requires assistance with data and technology issues, Ernst & Young's global Tax Performance Advisory (TPA) practice can help. As a foundation to the TPA practice, we have tax/data professionals who work to maximize a company's investment in their tax operating model through process redesign, utilization of tax technology, improved data flows and organizational optimization. Ernst & Young's National Tax Department (NTD) serves high-profile, national and multinational clients and is led by nationally recognized tax professionals who represent some of the firm's most senior tax talent. We provide a range of domestic and international transactional tax planning services and tax-related advisory services. ResponsibilitiesMajor areas where the group provides assistance include: ERP Value Engineering for Tax - assist the client in identifying value opportunities that can be realized through improved access to data. ERP Integration for Tax - assist the client in identifying data requirements to support tax accounting, compliance, and strategy. Work as part of the ERP integration team (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, etc.) to realize the ERP solution necessary to deliver required tax data. To qualify, candidates must have:
a bachelor's degree and approximately 2 years of related work experience; or a Master's degree and at least 1-2 years of tax/ERP integration experience.
CPA or EA certification
ERP Proficiency (SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft, JD Edwards, etc) as an integrator or as an end-user with deep understanding of the ERP
excellent managerial, leadership, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
ability to travel at least 50% of the time
