Title: Senior Compliance Auditor Location: Minnesota-MN-Minneapolis Other Locations: Wisconsin-WI-Milwaukee, Missouri-MO-Saint Louis, IL-IL-Chicago, Pennsylvania-PA-Pittsburgh U.S. Bank Corporate Audit Services is seeking a strong candidate to join our growing team of regulatory compliance audit professionals. The candidate would work on a variety of projects that will provide senior management with information to help them better manage regulatory risks.
The CAS: Senior Auditor is responsible for completing assignments in accordance with CAS Policies and Procedures under the supervision of an Audit Project Manager or Audit Manager. The Senior Auditor is expected to understand and apply internal audit principles and standards, regulatory requirements, and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
Duties: 1. Assists with the completion of planning, including APAs. 2. Completes Risk & Control Design Assessments. 3. Completes and/or supervises Control Effectiveness Testing. 4. Identifies potential issues and drafts PFDs. 5. Assists with the summarization phase of assigned audits. 6. Performs other duties as requested by management. Personal Characteristic:
1. The candidate should have unquestionable integrity, objectivity and probing inquisitiveness with ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
2. The candidate should possess proficient analytical abilities to analyze a set of data and extract information critical to identifying and communicating the inherent and residual regulatory risks to the business line.
3. The candidate should possess persuasive communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with staff and management during the presentation of audit findings and recommendations.
4. The candidate should have general knowledge of the business activities assigned during the audit as well as knowledge of all applicable federal banking regulations.
Education & Experience:
1. A four year degree or MBA from an accredited university preferably with a major in accounting or finance.
2. At least two years progressive regulatory compliance experience in public accounting, financial institution internal audit, and/or regulatory examination.
3. Professional certification such as a CRCM, CPA, CIA and/or CAMS or willingness to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
Some travel is required - up to 25% depending on project assignments.
